Gary Lynn Marquette passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at his home in Lake Point Utah. Gary was born July 21, 1954 in Williston, North Dakota to Merle and Carole Marquette (deceased). He lived in Wyoming and Minnesota before marrying Brenda Nathan. They moved to Utah in 1979. Gary is survived by his wife, daughter Becky (Josh Brown), son Jonathon (Cassie Sylvester), grandchildren, Jeremy, Jordon, & Liam, brother Mike (Lois) Marquette, and sister Sandy Leggitt.

Gary retired from Pearson PLC (National Computer Systems, Inc.) after 32 years with the company. He held council positions at St. Matthew’s and Our Saviour’s Lutheran Churches in Salt Lake City. He enjoyed his involvement with Lutheran Marriage Encounter, Star Touring and MTA motorcycle groups, and the National Headache Foundation.

Gary treasured all of his relationships with his family and friends. He loved his traveling adventures with his wife and friends. He was a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He was a very generous man, easy to befriend, and always willing to lend a hand. He was gifted in music, woodworking, and art and it was evident in the numerous hobbies he kept. Gary was very creative and known for his inventive nature.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main, Tooele, Utah. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be given to The Headache Foundation (www.headaches.org)
